A little over five years since this Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist’s first solo project, Will Butler releases his next odyssey, Generations. The tone shifts throughout the record, yet presents itself as a cohesive package to the listener. I know that sounds confusing, but honestly every song had something almost incredibly different to offer yet sounded like the tracks were cut from the same cloth.

Julie and the Phantoms – Season 1 Review
I say this is a season review of Julie and the Phantoms in the hopes that Netflix decides to pick this unexpected gem of a show up for second season run! When I say unexpected, I mean unexpected. In fact, despite its very high Rotten Tomatoes score, the fact that it was created by the mind behind High School Musical, Kenny Ortega, I had serious doubts. This may come as a surprise, but I like being proven wrong sometimes – especially when it comes to film and television!

I’m slacking on reporting in the book department, so you get three in one review this time! I’ll keep it brief, lest there be spoilers (but there still might be). While one full-length novel made the cut, I also had to include some festive horror short-stories, but those are the best kind! Keep reading if you want to know what I’m reading!
Read moreWeekend Movie Review
You may all be disappointed to know that I watched a respectable number of movies this weekend. Manageable even, for normal people! I only watched three films which made me a little sad, but the movies themselves were quite diverse and satisfying. I suppose I can’t complain all that much (and I can catch up next weekend).

It’s still early in the season of Fargo, but these characters keep getting themselves more twisted into each other’s lives as the minutes tick by, and I can’t wait for it all to come to a head! That’s what this show is known for, but it just seems like there are so many more players involved this time around. It makes me both nervous and excited to watch everything go down!
Read moreConcert Review: Linkin Park Projekt Revolution 2002
This is sort of a concert and sort of not a concert, but either way it was cool as hell and just overall excellent. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Hybrid Theory album by Linkin Park. You could say that this album changed the trajectory of their career forever. What better way to celebrate than to bring the band together for the first time in three years since Chester’s passing to relive memories and moments from that time? I couldn’t think of a better one, and then the stream treated us to a never before seen Projekt Revolution Tour show from 2002 in Las Vegas.

Apple + has done it again! Truth Be Told was the final show on my list for this subscription service and it did not disappoint. Although, I don’t know how a dramatic thriller starring Octavia Spencer could be bad really. The supporting cast was just as great, and the story line had me anxious to keep watching episodes as soon as I ended one. I needed answers!
Read moreThe Boys – Season 2 Finale
The second season finale of The Boys is already here and I’m really sad about it! Pumped to see what happens, but sad nonetheless. Mainly because I know they aren’t even done writing the third season yet and filming won’t start until at least the start of the year. I digress. Let’s recap all that went down in that finale! SPOILERS AHEAD. There, you’ve been warned.

There were some technical difficulties last week, so you’re just going to have to deal with a missing fan art. But that’s okay because this week you get to revel in my drawing of Homelander from The Boys, just in time for their second season finale! He’s definitely in my top favorite characters on the show, but he’s also just so symbolic of it. I get immense joy in hearing how much people hate his character – that means he’s doing a great job!
Read moreConcert Throwback: The Wanted
Look, I have a weakness for good looking boy bands, and The Wanted definitely falls into that category. They’re British and Irish, too! What’s not to like? Also, they had catchy songs and sounded excellent live. Their only fall back was that the main drag of their career also happened to be the same time One Direction was around. With the members all being slightly older they never stood a chance.
