Steel City Con – Spring 2024

I’ve realized that maybe I need to start tagging Steel City Con with a season since there are three of them every year. Something a little bit different leading up to the first iteration of 2024 was a bunch of unknowns. First, the convention hall was going to get bought out by Hobby lobby and discontinued, but then the city stepped in and bought it, leaving the con at its home. The second wrench was the Double Tree hotel getting shut down just a couple of months beforehand. This really messed with their overflow space, but a semi-permanent tent helped soften that blow a bit.

Off Broadway Review: Danny and the Deep Blue Sea

You will probably never catch me at a musical in New York, or anywhere for that matter. I paid my dues watching my sister throughout high school, so never again, thank you. Instead, you’ll be more likely to find me in attendance at a play. Especially if there are some high profile stars attached!

Concert Review: Don Broco

Although they didn’t end up taking the top spot this year, Don Broco did come in second place with three live shows (almost four, no thanks to a wedding I totally forgot about). Though I think I might have earned groupie status with them, as I saw them everywhere BUT my hometown. This final show was no exception.
