You know, I’m pretty impressed with myself for managing to squeeze in four new movies over the course of a very busy weekend. All in all, they were pretty decent and all vastly different from one another.

Two Door Cinema Club – Keep on Smiling, Album Review
First and foremost, Two Door Cinema Club will always hold a spot in my heart. As much as I love their music, their debut album always reminds me of the time my first grandparent passed away, and that album will always trigger that memory for me. With that being said, it’s still a great album, and I haven’t stopped listening to in the year since. That means I’ll always give their new stuff a chance, too!

Funny story about this concert. Back in July of 2021 I saw that tickets were going on sale for The Killers tour in October. My friend and I jumped on these tickets, and when I went to go put it in my calendar I thought, “ha, they got the day of the week wrong.” Nope. I just can’t read and bought a concert ticket over a year in advance. So here we are now, in October of 2022, and I have finally seen The Killers again for the first time in six years.

New musical obsessions may come along (here’s looking at you, Don Broco), but nothing beats The Last Shadow Puppets. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of listening to or drawing them. So with that, enjoy.

For someone that cranks out novels so fast, Karen M. McManus has yet to write a bad one. That rule definitely applies to her latest, Nothing More to Tell, too.

It was kind of a hodge-podge this weekend, and not nearly as many movies were viewed as I would have liked. Still, here’s what made the cut.
Read morePanic! at the Disco – Viva Las Vengeance Album Review
After listening to the three singles dropped as the lead up to the now solo act of Panic! at the Disco’s Viva Las Vengeance, I went in with really low expectations. Usually I end up pleasantly surprised, but in this case, it was exactly what I was expecting…sadly. Now that I look back at the “band’s” discography, ever since Brendon Urie took this up as a solo project, I haven’t really been a fan. It took a turn too sharp in the pop direction, and while artists are supposed to grow and change, this just became too generic and uncreative.
