I know you think that I probably wouldn’t have much to watch this weekend given how many films I watched over the course of last week, but you’d be mistaken. With that being said, some are repeats and none are brand-spanking new, but that’s okay! I’ve got plenty more film festival content coming your way this week, so I’ll keep it brief to spare you. Fargo – Season 4, Episode 6
According to a chaotic interview Timothy Olyphant did with Seth Meyers, I should be referring to Fargo as the “fourth installment.” Well, who really cares?! It’s all in a similar universe, and oh yeah, they are all called Fargo. So I will continue to call it the fourth season – marketing be damned! Anyways, moving on. There are five episodes remaining this season and I can’t seem to wrap my head around how they are going to drag it out. While the war is imminent, it seems like both sides are still taking shuffling little baby steps to the front line. Let me explain what I mean.

In keeping with the books geared towards the scary for October, I made in odd choice in this young adult romance slash horror novel, Sweet, written by Emmy Laybourne. I also learned that Laybourne was in Superstar! What a small world. Anyways, this book got more enjoyable the further I got into it, and there were also some pretty strong messages layered into this young adult entry. I think teens and adults alike can learn something from this while also being entertained.

Thanks to a stranger on Twitter I found out about the Milwaukee Film Festival, which while it didn’t provide a lot of titles that caught my eye, it did crop up the gem that was I Used to Go Here. I was also equally excited to check out Apple TV+’s latest cinematic offer with Sofia Coppola’s On the Rocks. So that’s what I did last night!
