Admittedly, I fell short this weekend with no good excuse. But, I did watch two movies and one of them was incredible! And probably not the one you think!

Concert Review: Joywave
The fact that we are a third of the way done with March and this is my first concert of 2024 is a travesty. I will be actively trying to right this wrong for the rest of the year, but I so glad I finally got some live music in!

Ah, the end of awards season has come and gone, and for some insane reason I was at a concert while the Oscars were airing! Truth be told, I would have been a day behind anyway, since I no longer have cable, but still, it seems like an egregious move on my part.

I had no clue I was going to get so many new albums this early in the year! In fact, MGMT stayed pretty darn quiet about. It’s also crazy when I think about how long it’s been since Little Dark Age was released. But now, we have been given Loss of Life on their new label, Mom + Pop!

Though she’s most well-known for her period pieces, Carey Mulligan actually has quite a range on her! Look no further than her lead, and Oscar-nominated turn in Promising Young Woman! Or check out clips from when she hosted SNL! She’s most recently been praised for her work in the film Maestro, but I can’t wait to see what else she does next. Did I mention she’s also married to the lead singer of Mumford and Sons?! How neat!
