It has been a long while since I’ve drawn the Columbus-based duo, twenty one pilots, and quite frankly, that’s a shame! I finally knocked one out though, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out! This one came from one of their SNL bumpers, and I’m surprised they’ve not been asked back yet to perform. Who knows though, the new season of SNL starts up in October and the band did release a quarantine-inspired song, so it seems promising! Anyways, hope you enjoy.

Fan Art Friday: Emma Stone
I feel like I’ve been a fan of Emma Stone since the beginning of her film career with a trio of comedies including Superbad, The Rocker, and The House Bunny. So it should come as no surprise that I’ve watched almost everything she’s been in since that time (both good and bad). And for some reason it’s taken me until this strange year to finally draw her, but I’m glad I did!

I mean this is really the Shadowhunters edition specifically featuring old Matthew Daddario drawings, but whatever! Doesn’t matter. What does matter is that the Shadowhunters Conversation at Home is taking place this weekend and I am pumped! I’ll be watching panels and interviews all weekend long and hopefully get to throw a few questions at the cast and crew myself. Not the same as being in person, but hopefully that can happen next year! Until then, enjoy some artwork.

For the past two weeks I’ve been obsessively listening to Arcade Fire and my desire to see live music is at its desperate peak! I think back to the two times I was able to see Arcade Fire live in 2014 and 2018, and both instances were incredible. True talents, every one of them! Anyways, the younger Butler, William, has ventured into solo work, and I loved his first album’s cover so much that I drew it.

It’s no secret. I love Hannibal, so I think it’s finally time to pay Will Graham his due, because he’s a hunk, too! This picture of Hugh Dancy was so posh that I had to draw it. Enjoy!

I was staring at my walls this morning, realized I didn’t post anything for Fan Art Friday, and then my eyes zeroed in on this older drawing I did of Andy Biersack. Thanks to Warped Tour, I’ve had the opportunity to meet this fine man, and not only is he gorgeous, but he’s extremely talented and kind. From his lead man status in Black Veil Brides, to his solo career, he also finds time to act and host a sports-themed talk show! He hails from my home state, too, so I’m obviously partial in that regard. Anyways, this is an older drawing I did of Andy, but his eyes are captivating and I can’t help myself. Enjoy!

In honor of Avatar’s new release last, Hunter Gatherer, I thought it was fitting to revisit the drawing I did of the band late last year. Not only because it was my first time drawing the Swedish heavy metal band, but it was also one of the rare instances in the past decade where I’ve drawn something using color! And not pens! It was truly a record for the books. Anyways, expect an album review sometime this weekend, but in the meantime, enjoy this drawing!

The first thing I ever saw Cillian Murphy in was Red Eye a long time ago, and his deranged performance stuck with me. Since then, he’s been in numerous memorable films and shows, like Peaky Blinders and Inception. Of his abundance of work though, my favorites have to be Anthropoid and Free Fire. Worth the watch if you’ve got some time.

I suppose more specifically, it is Johnny Stevens from Highly Suspect, but still. Despite sitting on this drawing for such a long time, I was really pleased with how it turned out. I even dabbled with different pen colors rather than black! Still Papermate though. Anyways, I decided to post this drawing because I’ve had some social media interactions with Johnny Stevens this week and it makes me really happy. Also, this could be an homage to the band since my sister and I were supposed to see them in April before COVID ruined everything fun in this life. Enjoy 🙂

Hot off the presses is my latest drawing of Robert Pattinson! Some of the inspiration for drawing him is due to the upcoming release of the novel, Midnight Sun, by Stephanie Meyer, but it’s also because of all of the other awesome stuff he’s been involved with! Seriously, Twilight has to be the worst movie in his filmography. If you really want to watch him shine I recommend, Little Ashes, Good Time, and Damsel. These are all so eclectic and just awesome! I’m also really looking forward to what’s coming next for him, both indie and blockbuster.
