You know what, since I just listened to and reviewed Haim’s latest musical effort, I thought now would be a great time to reflect on the one and only time I’ve seen them live. It was in 2016 at the wonderful Bunbury Music Festival, so that means the weather was toasty and since it was a music festival that means the crowd was excited! And so was I!

Concert Throwback: Royal Blood
How have I not done a throwback post of this band yet?! Royal Blood is absolutely incredible and with just two members, supremely impressive. I’ve been lucky enough to see them four separate times, and I even experienced them once from the front row!

This is it, the final livestream show I have lined up for 2020 (for now). And what a great performance to end on! Here Come the Mummies delivered a spectacular Halloween inspired livestream show last night and I had a blast watching!

The livestream concerts continue! This time it’s was with a band I have seen many, many times before in a live setting: Motionless in White! As I’m sure I’ve said before, this is my sister’s favorite band, so I’ve seen them close to a dozen times and have grown to appreciate their work. When I saw the announcement of the “deadstream” as they called it, I thought on it for about two minutes before I dropped the cash on it. If anything, me participating in these livestreams is at least helping out bands and their crews during this hard time.

My next livestream concert experience isn’t until next week, so for now we all get to reminisce about the many times I’ve seen 2000’s emo band Motion City Soundtrack. I know someone is likely to read this and tell me they are pop punk, but you’re wrong. They are all sorts of emotional and have toured with the most emo band on this planet (Hawthorne Heights), therefore they are also emo.

As the pandemic surges on, there are more and more livestream concert events popping up, and with a ton of my favorite artists jumping on board, so am I! Like I said before, I’ll take what I can get. And if that means watching Taking Back Sunday front man, Adam Lazzara tune his own guitar in between songs, then so be it!

This is sort of a concert and sort of not a concert, but either way it was cool as hell and just overall excellent. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Hybrid Theory album by Linkin Park. You could say that this album changed the trajectory of their career forever. What better way to celebrate than to bring the band together for the first time in three years since Chester’s passing to relive memories and moments from that time? I couldn’t think of a better one, and then the stream treated us to a never before seen Projekt Revolution Tour show from 2002 in Las Vegas.

Look, I have a weakness for good looking boy bands, and The Wanted definitely falls into that category. They’re British and Irish, too! What’s not to like? Also, they had catchy songs and sounded excellent live. Their only fall back was that the main drag of their career also happened to be the same time One Direction was around. With the members all being slightly older they never stood a chance.

After scouring the internet for a little bit, I was able to find a few more live stream concerts taking place, and first up on that list was AWOLNATION! Now, I should have seen these guys play back in June, but again, the pandemic has ruined all fun things this year (at least). The tour would have be in support of their new album that was released earlier this year, Angel Miners and the Lightening Riders. If you recall, I did give that album a pretty tepid review, but I still love this band so much that it was a no-brainer to show them some love and buy a ticket to this “virtual concert.”

Another weekend, another livestream concert. Actually, I’m saying this as if I’ve participated in a lot of them when in fact it’s only been my second one. While Anberlin was pretty great, I was very excited for and had high hopes for this concert put on by Bad Suns. I discovered this band back in 2014 with the release of their single, “Cardiac Arrest,” and I’ve sort of been obsessed with them ever since. Specifically their first full length effort, Language and Perspective, which is exactly what they were going to play through this Saturday!
