Alaska Daily Season 1 Review
Even though Alaska Daily is a network television drama, it had a lot going for it. For starters, it was created by Academy Award winning director, Tom McCarthy, and he also got two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank to star. Admittedly, Swank hasn’t been doing the best work of her career recently, but I had hopes for this show. I’d say that even with this short season, they delivered.

Sigh. I so very much wanted to love this new series in the Anne Rice-verse, just like I did with Interview with the Vampire, but Mayfair Witches just didn’t quite live up to that first series.

I hope Brett Goldstein hangs onto this hot streak for as long as he can. Or, if we’re lucky, it never ends. Just like Ted Lasso, his and Bill Lawrence’s new Apple + show, Shrinking, is a hit.

Once the platform introduces its live component next year we will see the ceremony actually on Netflix, but this change was kind of cool!

Well, based on how things have been going over at Warner Bros, I can’t say I’m that surprised that Los Espookys, this quirky little comedy, got cancelled back in December not long after airing its second season.

You all already know how much I love the US version of Ghosts, so it made sense that I’d eventually watch the original British version that inspired it! I know there is a fourth season out as of last December, but HBO Max only has the first three seasons available, so this is what you’re getting for now (hopefully).
