This time around, American Horror Story took a slightly different approach to its season. Instead of one ten-episode season, that in years past has puttered out by the end, they split it into two distinct storylines. Hence the title, Double Feature, for the season.

Clickbait Miniseries Review
This dramatic and thrilling Netflix miniseries came seemingly out of nowhere. One day it wasn’t there, and the next I see Adrian Grenier’s face with something that looks dark and twisted. Of course, when I learn that Zoe Kazan and Betty Gabriel are in it, too, it became a no-brainer to watch it! Also, with a name like Clickbait, it seems almost impossible that it won’t get watched. This 8-episode miniseries takes a unique storytelling approach with some shocking reveals along the way. Let’s dive in!

I patiently waited for all of Ted Lasso‘s second season to air before I dared to watch it. Kudos to all the fans who managed to torture themselves and only watch one episode a week. As I’ve said in the past, I’m not really a binge-watcher, but I definitely finished this season in three days. It was magnificent! Now, I know it’s still a little fresh for people, so I won’t give away too much of what happened, but here we go!

That’s right, another one of my shows have dropped off for the year, and this time it was the CW’s Roswell, New Mexico. They sort of surprised me a little bit by dropping the last two episodes of the season on the same night, but I’m not mad about two hours of drama! Let’s wrap this season up!

Well, well, well. Liane Moriarty made the right friend in Nicole Kidman. I say that because she’s chosen another one of Moriarty’s novels to adapt to the screen. And I don’t know how well your memory serves you, but it worked out really well with Big Little Lies. I’m a little surprised that Moriarty’s most recent novel, Nine Perfect Strangers got selected to be adapted so quickly. As an author I’d want the material to sit with readers a little longer. In any case, I was looking forward to this mystery/drama.

It’s been a little bit now, but I’m so glad I was able to watch this series! As of right now, there is no news of a second season of The White Lotus, but it was almost so perfect it doesn’t need one? In my opinion, anyways. In a show where so much great stuff happens, it also floats in the ether of being genre-less. That’s a pretty rare feat!

It’s that time where my summer shows are winding down. In fact, Animal Kingdom has wrapped up for the season! Hopefully we won’t have to wait as long into the new year for the final season, but that remains to be seen. Regardless, here’s what went down this week in my regular network dramas.

We’re nearing the end here folks! Especially now that your typical fall shows are coming back in full force over the next couple of weeks. It’s getting down to the wire for both Animal Kingdom and Roswell, New Mexico, but it wouldn’t be dramatic if things started wrapping up, so naturally there was a lot of action this week. Let’s dive in!
