Weekend Movie Rewind

So many “original” independent films were released this weekend. Obviously, I say that with a huge dose of sarcasm because there are excellent independent films hitting theaters all the time. People just aren’t paying attention. The reason I think they are this time around is because they’re touting some heavy A-list hitters. Although, most awesome independent films I watch have heavy A-list talent. For some reason people are only just now paying attention…I digress. Let’s see what made the cut this weekend.

Letterkenny Live!

If you’ve been paying attention at all the last several months, you knew this was coming. Given that I binge-watched ten seasons of Letterkenny in under two months, it was a no-brainer that I was going to catch their touring live show! Yes, this tour was supposed to have happened in 2020, but the pandemic actually worked in my favor this time.

Double Album Review: The Linda Lindas & Wet Leg

This was originally just going to be a review of the new album, Growing Up, by The Linda Lindas, but then the Youtube algorithm shoved Wet Leg’s self-titled debut in my face, so now you get two for the price of one. It’s also helpful because it’s hard to elaborate on the phrase, “the whole album is amazing,” because they both were. But I’ll try.
