We Own This City – Miniseries Review

As a somewhat newfound Jon Bernthal fan, I was really excited to get to watch this six-part miniseries, We Own This City, based off of actual events that happened within the Baltimore Police Department over the better part of two decades. I was even more excited because I knew it was written by the same people who were responsible for the critically acclaimed, The Wire, and that it was going to be directed by King Richard‘s Reinaldo Marcus Green.

Book Review: The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager

New Riley Sager!! I’d be so happy if this guy manages to pump out a new book every year, mainly because they’ve all been thoroughly enjoyable. And honestly, I’m a little surprised I’m saying that about his newest release, The House Across the Lake, but you’ll just have to keep reading to find out why. Concert Review: Anberlin

You know, up until the pandemic it had been quite some time since I’d seen Anberlin play music together in a live capacity. Part of that had to do with the fact that they broke up for a little while, but part of me remembers being more impressed with an opening band. To my surprise, the livestream concert I watched of them performing Cities in full was freaking incredible! When I saw that they were doing a three day “residency” at my favorite music venue, I knew I had to go hear them play Cities again live and in person.
