I really had no clue that Apple+ was in the midst of airing the second season of The Big Door Prize when I had started watching the first season. In the end, I decided to wait a few weeks for it to finish up before I dove in.

The Big Door Prize – Season 1 Review
I guess there’s nothing like tuning into the first season of a show only to learn a second season is currently underway. The Big Door Prize offered some interesting surprises for me, so I’m looking forward to the second season, even though it’s strange as hell that I never saw it advertised anywhere.

I don’t know what changed, but my appreciation for this show sky-rocketed after watching the second season, so I couldn’t get to Slow Horses‘ third season quick enough! Lucky for me, a fourth installment is on the way later this year. I’ve also got the first novel in the series waiting for me at my local library.

I truly didn’t realize how badly I’d been slacking on this series until I saw that two other seasons had been released since I watched the first one! I recall the first season being a bit of a confusing drag, but this time around I couldn’t watch Slow Horses fast enough!

I don’t know that this non-fiction book by Daniel Keyes is something I would have ever read in the past were it not for an intriguing trailer for a new Tom Holland-led show on Apple+. But I am thankful to that trailer, because it led me to one of the most whacky true stories I have ever heard! The Minds of Billy Milligan captured me in a similar way to the fictionalized Chernobyl storytelling did.

Although I’m sure this third season will probably be Ted Lasso‘s last, I still can’t call it that. Just in case. I promise this review will be pretty spoiler-free, so read on!

I hope Brett Goldstein hangs onto this hot streak for as long as he can. Or, if we’re lucky, it never ends. Just like Ted Lasso, his and Bill Lawrence’s new Apple + show, Shrinking, is a hit.
