Being out of town for a little bit means that I missed a chunk of awards season! No fear, because where there’s a will, there’s a way! And in the case of the SAG Awards, Netflix! This year marked the SAG Awards’ first year on the streaming giant (sorry, TBS), and I am quite alright with the move.

After a terrible year for actors and writers, the studios finally pulled their heads out of their asses just in time for awards season! And though the Golden Globes are back for only the second year after trying to right their wrongs, I thought the evening was a perfectly fine one.

Frankly, I wasn’t planning on watching this year’s Grammy Awards, but then at the last minute hit record on my DVR. The reason being is this: over the last several years the Grammys have become a top 40 showcase, just like every other, lesser music-based awards shows. And that sucks.
