Film & Book Review: A Million Little Pieces

Several months back, I saw that an actor I really admire (yes, from Kick-Ass), was going to lead an adaptation of the memoir, A Million Little Pieces. When I think back to the time that the book came out, I remember I thought the cover was really cool, but memoirs aren’t really something I search out to read. Review: Rainbow Rowell YA Novels

It’s been a decent start to my reading year, but the spotlight I want to shine is on Rainbow Rowell’s young adult novels, Carry On and Wayward Son. Does this author have an affinity for that one Kansas song? I would assume so. Either way, these novels follow a world of mages from London as they try to battle the unknown and just generally survive.

Book Review: The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware

I’m sure I said this a few posts back, but I feel like I’ve been reading like a fiend these past couple months, and it continues with The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware! I was a huge fan of her first novel, In a Dark, Dark Wood, so I’m always excited to see what she’s got next. Earlier this year I read her latest installment, The Death of Mrs. Westaway, and that sucker stuck with me. Needless to say, I was very surprised when a new novel dropped just a few months after finishing that up – but it was a happy surprise!
