Somehow I’ve managed to squeeze in more movies than should be possible, especially given that the Emmys are on tonight, but here we are! Some are great and some are just meh, but no regrets with my choices this weekend. Here’s my brief take on all of them.

I don’t know that anything I watched this weekend I planned on watching, but I have zero regrets about any of them. All were practically spur of the moment, with a few that I’d never even really heard of before. They also covered a wide array of genres which always makes for an entertaining time. I would say if you picked any of these films to watch in the future you won’t be let down. I promise!

Even though I somewhat predicted it, I was still no less surprised with how quickly my eyes consumed the last two seasons (currently available) of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. At first, I was a little bummed with how the last episode of the fourteenth season ended until I remembered that there’s more coming! When that “more” is coming is yet to be seen since 2020 has been such a crap-shoot. Either way, reminding myself that this is a show that’s still on the air put my mind at ease.

Now that I’m in the back half of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, all the seasons are ten episodes apiece, and I am just breezing through them! At peak enjoyment, I might add. I’ve also stumbled across a lot of the phrases that are quoted by the Sunny-fandom on a regular basis and it’s been delightful. My personal favorite was Dennis yelling “sickness be gone!!!” when he thought he was coming down with the flu. Delivery was fantastic.

Half way through their fourteen already released seasons, I am still loving the ride It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is taking me on. In fact, I find myself binging more episodes at a time then I did at the start, and that’s a good sign for any show. I can count on countless laugh out load moments, as well as shielding my eyes from something incredibly socially awkward and unacceptable.

You know, I watch a bunch of shows, and while 98% of them are satisfying (because I do some research), there are still just a few that fall through the cracks. It’s not necessarily that they are bad, but they just don’t hold my interest, which I’m sure is the case for many people. Maybe it’s because I have all this extra time not spent at the movie theater this year, but I’ve found a few shows that literally pained me to watch, so I just decided to…stop.
