Mare of Easttown Series Review

Beware of spoilers in this post! There, that’s all the warning you’re going to get about I. It’s hard to review this masterpiece of a miniseries without at least somewhat spoiling all the twists and turns that went down. In just seven episodes, this series managed to hook me from the get-go, and also manage to crash HBO Max during the finale. That’s how freaking good this mystery crime thriller is.

Book Review: Paradise Valley by C.J. Box

I’d say I’m moving through The Highway book series by C.J. Box rather quickly! A large part of that is attributed to my morbid curiosity of seeing how well the show, Big Sky, is relating to its source material. Well, I can say that by the end of the third installment, Paradise Valley, they really aren’t following the storyline. Now, I will say based off the second novel that the show totally deviated from, I didn’t really think that this novel would be followed either because the blurb made it sound like a direct continuation of those events.

Prodigal Son Season 2 Premiere

It’s been a minute since this mediocre procedural, serial killing show was on the air, but now Prodigal Son is back and I watched the second season premiere with some trepidation. During the first season run I know I made my feelings clear about how I felt let down by all the potential this show had to offer. No, at this point I’m not expecting it to be the next Hannibal, but just give me something!

Fargo – Season 4 Premiere, Episodes 1 & 2

After three long years and a coronavirus setback later, the fourth season of Fargo has finally arrived! And while I approached it with some trepidation seeing Chris Rock as the top billing, I still have so much faith in this season being as fantastic as the rest. They surely started off well! With the slight cliffhanger at the end of the second episode, it’s definitely left me itching for more.
