Fan Art Friday: Bang Chan/Stray Kids

Help! I’ve fallen into a K-hole and I can’t get out! A K-Pop hole, that is. Recently, two K-Pop boy bands have entered my orbit and and I just can’t stop. I suppose it’s like any other obsession I have, but it’s all-consuming and I’m not mad about it. I’m especially not mad about how all the members of Monsta X and Stray Kids are so genetically blessed. Seriously, these are some of the most handsome (and hottest) guys out there, so I had to start somewhere. Stray Kids’ leader, Bang Chan, is where I ended up mainly because I find his face to be so striking. It’s also super cool that he lived in Australia for a long time and I was just there! Anyway, enjoy this and look forward to more drawings of these guys in the future.

Fan Art Friday: Carey Mulligan

Though she’s most well-known for her period pieces, Carey Mulligan actually has quite a range on her! Look no further than her lead, and Oscar-nominated turn in Promising Young Woman! Or check out clips from when she hosted SNL! She’s most recently been praised for her work in the film Maestro, but I can’t wait to see what else she does next. Did I mention she’s also married to the lead singer of Mumford and Sons?! How neat!

Fan Art Friday: JimmySea

I know that JimmySea doesn’t make much sense to look at, but I’ve been fully sucked into the world of Thai BL and the fandoms refer to popular pairs by just jamming their names together. There’s no fancy couple name like “Bennifer,” but this is probably just as well. They are their own people, after all. And quite successful ones at that! Aside from being in two of my favorite BLs, Vice Versa and Last Twilight, they both have really successful extracurricular careers. While Sea is studying business, he’s also a national badminton player. And Jimmy is a freaking doctor! It’s almost not fair with these two, but they are so nice to look at and seem so sweet that I’ll allow it. Anyway, my first drawing of 2024 took far too long, but I’m happy it’s of these two. And it’s on new paper no less!
