A couple of weeks ago, FX premiered an excellent British drama called Black Narcissus, and I was hooked from the start. I was actually quite sad that it was only three parts. In an interesting move on FX’s part, all three episodes aired back to back. I didn’t watch these live, so it had no impact on me, but I still thought it was an interesting move.

Escape at Dannemora Miniseries Review
Back in 2018 when this highly praised miniseries, Escape at Dannemora, came out I had watched the first two episodes because, you know, free Showtime. After that, it just sort of fell off my radar. I knew with the caliber of actors in the show that it would do well during awards season, and it did! Sometimes that’s all I need to know. Also, the show itself wasn’t that big of a mystery since it was based on real life events that took place only a few years prior.

The beat goes on with my attempt to watch more of the Emmy nominees before the actual Emmy Awards ceremony airs on September 20th. So with that, I landed on FX for Hulu’s nine part miniseries, Mrs. America. Talk about a star-studded affair! Even the small parts were played by well-known actors!
