Since getting HBO Max, I’ve been trying to burn through series like it’s my job. I’m also trying to stay on the up and up with what’s popular right now, and especially if that something is a mystery series. Black Narcissus Miniseries Review
A couple of weeks ago, FX premiered an excellent British drama called Black Narcissus, and I was hooked from the start. I was actually quite sad that it was only three parts. In an interesting move on FX’s part, all three episodes aired back to back. I didn’t watch these live, so it had no impact on me, but I still thought it was an interesting move.

Back in 2018 when this highly praised miniseries, Escape at Dannemora, came out I had watched the first two episodes because, you know, free Showtime. After that, it just sort of fell off my radar. I knew with the caliber of actors in the show that it would do well during awards season, and it did! Sometimes that’s all I need to know. Also, the show itself wasn’t that big of a mystery since it was based on real life events that took place only a few years prior.
