Anya Taylor Joy has such unique features and incredibly eclectic filmography, so I’m glad I finally got to draw her. I recommend The Queens Gambit or Thoroughbreds for starters. But you can’t go wrong with much else she’s been a part of!

2021 Golden Globes Rewind
Thank the lord for some awards shows coming into my life again! Coming off the heels of the earliest awards season in history last year, it feels like an eternity has passed before this one even began. But, and I’m sure many will agree with me, the Globes decided to start the official season off with chaos, and I was somewhat alright with it. Here’s my take on the big winners of the night along with all the shocking “upsets.”

Since The Queen’s Gambit came out a couple months ago, I have yet to see a bad or even somewhat disappointed review for it. Now I understand why! This was one of the strongest series I’ve ever watched and it was something I know next to nothing about: chess! This, coupled with Ted Lasso, proves that if a show is written and acted really well, then it doesn’t matter how seemingly boring your subject matter is. If you would have told me at the start of the year that the best fictionalized television I would watch was about soccer and chess I would have laughed in your face. They have proven me wrong.
