Okay, let me preface this review by saying there will be spoilers! I think I’m pretty late to the party for this original Hulu comedy, Only Murders in the Building, so I don’t know that I’ll be spoiling it for many people, but still, you’ve been warned.

Weekend Movie Review
It was a pretty average viewing this weekend, but fear not! It’s the calm before the holiday weekend storm, so I more than plan to make up for it in my next recap. Anyways, here’s a high level look at what I managed to watch this weekend.

I’ve been trying to get my hands on The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides at my local library since its release in 2019, and I’ve got to say, it was worth the wait!
Read moreBook Review: My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite
I mean, the title of Oyinjan Braithwaite’s novel alone was enough to have me add it to my read list. Truly. I’ve never even read a blurb about this book! Wisest decision I have made to read My Sister, the Serial Killer. What a neat book!

Having just read Karen McManus’ book last year, this series adaptation of One of Us is Lying came as a bit of a surprise! Really, I only knew about it roughly a month beforehand and that was only because my issue of Entertainment Weekly told me about it! But anyways, I was really interested to see how this story adapted to the screen, and luckily, it didn’t disappoint.

Well this is quite the debut novel! Talk about making memory loss more terrifying then it already is! That’s right, in S.J. This dramatic and thrilling Netflix miniseries came seemingly out of nowhere. One day it wasn’t there, and the next I see Adrian Grenier’s face with something that looks dark and twisted. Of course, when I learn that Zoe Kazan and Betty Gabriel are in it, too, it became a no-brainer to watch it! Also, with a name like Clickbait, it seems almost impossible that it won’t get watched. This 8-episode miniseries takes a unique storytelling approach with some shocking reveals along the way. Let’s dive in!
Read moreBook Review: Whisper Network by Chandler Baker
Truthfully, this book has been on my radar for quite some time. What can I say, Reese’s Book Club has good taste! Most of the time when I think to go check out Whisper Network, someone’s already gotten to it, but my luck turned around during my last trip to the library. This book by Chandler Baker was not totally what I was expecting, but the end result was definitely satisfying enough.

All things considered, I’m a little shocked I was able to squeeze in my standard three movies for the weekend! And with that, they all managed to be pretty darn entertaining.

It’s been a little bit now, but I’m so glad I was able to watch this series! As of right now, there is no news of a second season of The White Lotus, but it was almost so perfect it doesn’t need one? In my opinion, anyways. In a show where so much great stuff happens, it also floats in the ether of being genre-less. That’s a pretty rare feat!
