Weekly TV in Review

Since I couldn’t manage to watch anything promptly this week, you all are getting a very brief recap of everything I watched below. Enjoy!

9-1-1 Lone Star: This week saw TK and Carlos get emotional, Michelle and her missing sister’s ex reconcile, Owen start chemo, Judd start to try and face his demons, and Marjan face backlash from her religion. Quite entertaining, and thankfully the 911 calls were a little less gruesome (but there was an explosion!).

Prodigal Son: Malcolm clearly needs more help than he’s getting, but that’s not for lack of offering. And because of his kidnapping trauma, he’s got to talk to a therapist to clear him to return to working for the NYPD. Turns out that guy is a “deprogrammer.” Still not totally sure what that means, but Malcolm catches on in time to save himself. Oh yeah, there was also electrocunvulsive therapy in this episode…yeesh.

Miracle Workers: This season in the anthology takes us back to the dark ages, where your job is your last name, like Carpenter or Baker, but in the case of Alexandra, she gets to become the next Sh*tshoveler. I’m only one episode into this new season, so I’ll let you know how I feel about it as it progresses.

This is Us: Since last week was all about Randall, this week was all about Kevin. While slightly less interesting, we did learn that Sophie was not the person he was in bed with, but – SPOILER!!! – it was Madison! Is this Kevin’s baby mama?? Maybe will get more answers next week during what’s sure to be the implosion of Kate and Toby’s marriage.

Schitt’s Creek: After last week’s chase for missing Ted (the turtle), this week sees Stevie really start to doubt her new career as a stewardess, but we also get an in-depth look at The Crows Have Eyes: The Crowening. Something I never knew I needed to see.

Superstore: Sandra is finally getting married to Jerry, so it was as disorganized and awkward as you thought it was going to be! Also featuring laxative-laced cupcakes.

Nora from Queens: After getting interrupted from some self-care, Nora goes to Atlantic City with her grandma to count cards (err, I mean, gamble), and just have a good time. She runs into an old classmate and realizes she’s not the only one facing personal and professional woes.

Whew! That’s all for now folks! I’m still not totally caught up, but that’s mainly because I ran out of time to watch things.
