Concert Review: The Aces

I had heard a few singles on Sirius XM and knew they’d gotten a fair amount of buzz in the past, but I never really explored them any further. But, when you’re tasked with some time off and no big trip planned, you make your own fun.

I’ll admit, I’m late to the Jodie Comer party. Killing Eve has been on my watch list for quite some time now, but it’s still decently far back in the queue. Besides her award winning turn on that hit show, she hasn’t really done much else. Well, that all changed this year when she gave great performances in two drastically different film offerings. The first was Free Guy, which ended up not being quite as funny as I would have hoped, and the latter was The Last Duel. Perhaps that dramatic role is what’s garnered her the most buzz in recent years. She gives a terse performance dealing in very serious subject matter. Her name is still floating around for awards season, and wouldn’t that just be the icing on the cake of her very young career? Anything is possible, but I can’t wait to see what else she’s got in store for the future!
