Still on the hottest hot streak from all things Barbie, Ryan Gosling in just going to roll right into another action comedy film that is sure to be a hit in just a few weeks. This man is funny! Look no further than his latest hosting gig at SNL. Anyway, I need to draw a better picture of him someday, but for now, this is what you get.

Thanksgiving Weekend Movie Review
I didn’t get any extra days off besides the holiday, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t able to squeeze in a ton of movies! I didn’t get to the theater as much as I would have preferred, but there was still some solid gold in there.

I’ve been really slacking on the Peacock shows while I still have the platform for a good deal, but I did finally get around to watching Pete Davidson’s show, Bupkis. Thankfully, his comedy gig got postponed, because I would not have had this show’s first season done in time.

Bringing this old SNL bumper of Elizabeth Banks out of retirement because her latest directorial effort, Cocaine Bear, is in theaters today! I know I certainly can’t wait to watch it later, and I imagine a lot of other people can’t either.

Over the course of many years I’ve come to appreciate Benedict Cumberbatch. Top of the list is last year’s Power of the Dog and August: Osage County. So now you get a drawing. Enjoy!

I know it’s a few days late now, but the Emmys were on this past Monday, and it just proves to me again why awards season is my favorite season!

When I first heard about Schmigadoon! coming to Apple+ I was excited by the cast, but then I learned it would be a musical and I swiftly changed my mind. But you know, maybe I’m coming around to musicals. I did just recently enjoy Tick, Tick…Boom! but I suppose I shouldn’t go making assumptions.

I’ve been a pretty big fan of Adam Driver for quite some time now. Sure, he’s probably most known for his turn as the bad guy Kylo Ren in the latest trio of Star Wars movies, but he’s been in plenty of great indie films and three great turns hosting SNL. If I had to recommend anything to you that he’s in that I’ve seen so far it would be Logan Lucky and Marriage Story. Personally, I’m looking forward to House of Gucci, and there’s another future film of his that’s got me excited for all sorts of reasons I can’t divulge right now, but just be patient. You’ll hear about it soon enough.

It’s getting down to the wire folks! Usually, the Film Independent Spirit Awards takes place the afternoon before the Oscars, but in this unprecedented time of a pandemic, they switched their usual plan of attack by airing in a prime time slot during the week (a Thursday to be exact). Hey, I don’t care when they air, I promise I’ll be there to watch it. Normally, I would not be catching the Spirit Awards until after the fact, but this year, yours truly was a voting member, so I had to tune in!

It was already one in the morning before I realized Friday had already come and gone. Sigh. I swear to you at some point I’ll be more consistent with posting fan art on Fridays. But for now, you just have to deal with me being a day late. There is reason to rejoice though! Early last week I finally finished my drawing of Elizabeth Banks! Saturday Night Live is responsible for many iconic bumpers, but Banks has crystal clear blue eyes that sort of makes it hard for her to take even just a mediocre photo. I loved this one when I saw it when she hosted a few years back, and then I realized that I’d never drawn her before! That’s shameful, given how many things I’ve seen her in. My recommendations from her filmography are Brightburn, Wet Hot American Summer (film and television show), and Love & Mercy!
