The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sponsored this Likover Lecture to shed light on two areas: abortion and voting rights. So naturally, they tapped two celebrities who are very passionate about these topics: Ike Barinholtz and Busy Philipps!

Netflix Movie Review: The Laundromat

Note: just because a film has three A-listers, does not mean it’s going to be good. Such is the case with the latest Netflix film, The Laundromat, which stars powerhouses, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, and Meryl Streep. I’m not saying the performances were bad. Odd, but not bad. The script was the bad part.

New Movie Review: Joker and In The Tall Grass

Hoo boy! Starting off the month with an excellent movie, Joker! As advertised and how one could assume, this was a very dark take on how Arthur Fleck became the Joker. We open on Arthur laughing for an almost painfully long time before we see that he’s talking to a social worker. Having previously been in an institute, Arthur now works as a clown for hire, and seemingly enjoys it. That is until he gets the crap beat out of him by some mean teens. Life just continues to pummel him throughout the rest of the movie.

My Trip to NYC!

Friends! I just got back from the coolest trip I’ve been on since I went to CinemaCon in Las Vegas almost two years ago. It’s been about five years, but I finally headed back to New York to visit one of my oldest friends.
