Blaqk Audio – Trop d’Amour Album Review

It’s been over a year in the making, but I will finally get to see AFI live again later this fall, but in the meantime, Jade Puget and Davey Havok’s side project, Blaqk Audio, have put out a new album and I’m here for it! It doesn’t seem like any time at all has passed since their 2020 release, Beneath the Black Palms, but that’s what a pandemic will do to time I guess. Now we’ve been treated to Trop d’Amour!

Don Broco – Automatic Album Review

I’ve got to say I’m glad I let Don Broco’s sophomore album, Automatic, marinate for a while before reviewing it. Despite what you may think, I actually found it really pleasant to listen to the first time around, but it just felt so jarringly different from their latest two efforts that it almost didn’t feel like I was listening to Don Broco at all.

Highly Suspect – Midnight Demon Club, Album Review

Highly Suspect is back! Not that they’ve been MIA for that long. Really, their third full-length album, MCID, only came out in 2019, but that pandemic has made that feel like a lifetime. It also doesn’t help that the band never got to fully tour on that album. All in all, that makes The Midnight Demon Club feel like a long time coming.

Aside from watching their performances on late night shows from Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, I hadn’t really done any other digging into their music, but knew I wanted to.
