It’s the penultimate episode of this fourth installment of Fargo, and I’m really excited to see how it all plays out. After a cool and creative deviation last week, this week reverts back to the storylines we’re used to and plays out a string of events so delicious I might as well have been salivating while watching the episode.

Kidding Season 1
What a strange, strange comedy Kidding was. This two-season show starring Jim Carrey had me confused from start to finish. I recognize it was more of a dark comedy, but even the premise had me feeling sort of out of body. It probably also didn’t help that it took place in Ohio. Strange.

It’s official, Apple+ has the strangest catalog of shows out there, and Servant basically made that decision for me. I recall back when the streaming service launched, this was one of the first shows it premiered. The fact that it was produced by M Night Shyamalan was supposed to be the big seller here, and I guess it was because that’s ultimately why I watched it. That, and it was shrouded in mystery! If someone had asked me what I thought the show was about all I could was “a baby.”

After my severe love of Ted Lasso, I learned that one of the stars and writers, Brett Goldstein, had another show premiering on AMC and I was pretty much all in! Add to the fact that Soulmates touted stars such as Sarah Snook and Bill Skarsgaard as part of its cast and I was even more sold. That it was also an anthology made it even more intriguing.

Well, well, well. I see you Fargo and your very cinematic black and white episode! I also see your nod to The Wizard of Oz! This creative turn is a nice reset for the remaining episodes of the fourth season of Fargo!

Well, I got Apple + back in order to watch Sofia Coppola’s latest film, so I figured it’d be a good opportunity to a watch a couple more shows in their catalog. I wanted something somewhat comedic, and besides Ted Lasso, Dickinson was the next beset thing. I remember being intrigued by it when press first started for it, but Hailee Steinfeld wasn’t quite enough to sell me on it.

In an incredibly short amount of time I have managed to watch the entirety of Workaholics, and it was a fantastic ride. I don’t want to sound ungrateful for the time dedicated to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but I think I enjoyed Workaholics just a bit more. As I’m sure I’ve explained in a prior season’s review, these three dudes just seem more relatable. I attribute that to its office setting and their genuine friendship. Sure, the gang are friends, too, but these guys actually look out for each other. That’s the key difference. Anyways, I’m not going to get hung up on all that, because both really are great series and you should definitely take the time to watch them.

Well, well, well. Things have finally taken a turn for the interesting on Fargo, and I’m here for it! There were apparitions, backstabbing, and (unexpected) reunions. I won’t keep you hanging!

That’s right, I burned through two seasons of Workaholics so quickly that I just decided to write about them at the same time. I’ve only got two seasons remaining and I’m getting a little sad about it. These guys are hilarious together and I just feel like this has the longevity factor that It’s Always Sunny has. Oh, well. Take what I can get, right?

Alright, now that we are just a tick past the half way mark of the latest installment of Fargo, I am sort of losing my patience with a little bit of what’s going down. I’ll explain, but perhaps my recap will explain it anyways.
