Quibi – The Stranger Review

In this time of quarantine and new content overload, I caved and subscribed to the newest short-form streaming service, Quibi. A large part of my decision had to do with the fact that I saw some thriller projects featuring Christoph Waltz and Dane DeHaan…actually, that might have been the only reason. Because even if we all didn’t have an abundant amount of time to spend inside, why would I pay monthly for “shows” that are shorter than some Youtube clips?! It’s seems pretty ridiculous if you ask me. And after finishing one series in just over an hour, I can confirm that it wouldn’t be worth paying for.

Schitt’s Creek Series Finales Gives Us “Happy Endings”

You read that right, the series finale of Schitt’s Creek aired on Tuesday night, and it feels like the saddest ending of an era. Even though I was a latecomer to this hilarious Canadian comedy, it took approximately five episodes for me to fall in love with these people, and I mean more than just the Roses. So sadly, this is the last time you’ll ever be reading about Schitt’s Creek here.

Oh, Monday. What joy you bring to my nightly television viewing. At this present moment, that’s mainly because of Roswell, New Mexico, but I can give some credit to Prodigal Son, who is airing its last handful of episodes at a snail’s pace. Either way, entertainment. In this time of self-isolation, that’s all I’m asking for. So here we go!

Succession – Season 2

Alright, the time has come during this quarantine and down-time in my regular viewing to finally watch the second season of Succession. I also felt I wanted to put some distance between the seasons, because like I said in my review of the first season, this show is intense. And like I also said before, this show deserves all the awards it’s received! In fact, it may deserve more. After finishing the final episode today, I’m not sure why Jeremy Strong hasn’t been nominated for everything.
