It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Season 5

The fifth season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is just as ridiculous as it’s previous four seasons, and for that, I love it. Sure, some episodes are more bonkers than in the past, but in general, the material is just so strong and so hilarious!

This season started off strong with probably my favorite episode of the twelve, “The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis.” In it, Dee decides to give surrogacy a go (for the cash, obviously), while the rest of the guys think flipping houses is the way to go (note that this season came off the heels of the 2007-2008 financial crisis). But with all the absurdity, we get to meet Dennis and Mac’s alter real estate egos, Hugh Honey and Vic Vinegar. Easily one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen so far.

Not too far off is “The World Series Defense,” ” Paddy’s Pub: Home of the Original Kitten Mittens,” and the infamous episode, “The D.E.N.N.I.S. System.” Each is stuffed with laugh out loud gags and physical humor, which are my favorite. While there was no musical episode this season, we did get a fun and short little song in the last episode about “Flipadelphia” (I’ll let you guess what it is). Also, just lots of cats this season, which I can fully appreciate. Anyways, it’s another strong crop of episodes for the gang, and I can’t wait to wade even further into this pool of awful with these degenerates.
