A Teacher Miniseries Review

FX on Hulu’s A Teacher, is a drama adapted from a movie of the same name, but starring a few more recognizable names and the ability to flesh the story out a bit more. I think this would have to be every filmmakers dream. Getting to tell a story that you’re passionate about in two different channels has to feel good. There were also enough years separating the two that creator, Hannah Fidell, could take the time to figure out parts she wanted to explore more deeply, or add more fine details to certain scenes.

Book Review: Panic by Lauren Oliver

I was so taken by Lauren Oliver’s book, The Vanishing Girls, that I decided to give her debut novel, Panic, a go! I’ll be interested to see what her other novels are like, because I could definitely tell this was a first go at publishing a novel. Book Review: The Cousins by Karen McManus

Actually, my sister got her hands on it as soon as it released because McManus’ books are some of the few she’s devoured this year. And for good reason! They have all been twisty and irresistible to put down.

Holiday Movie Review

I would dub this a holiday movie review because most of what I watched was related to this time of year! Perhaps the only good Christmas movies I know got watched, but I’m warning you that the number is low. There are also some sad films in the mix, because everything happy probably always has a little bit of sadness, too.
