I can’t help but think back to an interview I read a few months ago where Joe Keery scoffed at the thought of his debut full-length album, Twenty-Twenty. he evidently thought it was a bit juvenile both in sound and from a lyrical perspective. Really, his new album, Decide, seems like a natural continuation from that first record, but I’ll have to listen to it a few more times to see if it’s evolved that much lyrically.

Technically, I am combining last week’s viewings because I didn’t have time to recap them here, but you should definitely still be informed of all the greatness out there.

It’s been over four years since I’ve seen AFI in concert, and frankly, that’s just too long! But after seeing this tour rescheduled from last year it finally happened, and it was incredible. Just like they always are.

You get a part 2 this week because I get to see AFI live and in person TONIGHT! I am so excited. Full disclosure, the only reason I even picked up this novel, Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll, was because I saw the Netflix trailer and was intrigued by its mystery. That’s sad that Netflix movies are what’s driving my reading choices, but when People magazine is the only source for “new hits,” I suppose I shouldn’t be that surprised.

Even though Ben Jorgensen of Armor for Sleep told me last November during their 15 year anniversary show that new music was on the horizon, I really didn’t believe it would be this soon! But sure enough, a few weeks ago, the band released their fourth album, Rain Museum, out into the world.
