I suppose White Reaper are probably a triple threat, but I’m referring to the fact I’ve seen them three times in the past week. Have I reached groupie status yet? I kind of feel like a crazy fan, but instead I will refer to myself as a passionate one.

This feels like a long time coming, but I finally got to see My Chemical Romance last night!

Alt-j’s newest release, The Dream, kind of snuck up on me! Sure, I heard at least two singles on Alt Nation, but I was under the impression that these were one-off releases. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised when I learned of the bands fourth full-length effort getting released in February!

I will say, the second full length album from Mini Mansions, The Great Pretenders, is a winner. As soon as the first track kicks off, I was hooked.

My middle school self continues to thrive this year! Just like Scary Kids Scaring Kids graced me with an anniversary tour last month, emo stalwarts, Armor for Sleep have followed suit. Now, the 15 year anniversary of their first major-label debut, What to Do When You Are Dead, was meant to happen last year but COVID had other plans. No worries! Back at it! Now that I’ve thoroughly listened to Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not, it’s time for me to move onto the Arctic Monkeys’ sophomore effort, Favourite Worst Nightmare. Although it’s a sophomore effort, there was certainly no slump here! In fact, it’s sort of mind-boggling that the band was able to release something so strong in just a little over a year after their debut record.

I suppose this is really only one member of Bastille, but Dan Smith was technically the whole band in the very beginning! Either way, in honor of their new singles, “Distorted Light Beam” and “Give Me the Future,” here is one of my oldest Bastille drawings. Enjoy!

It’s been about a decade since I last drew Empire of the Sun and they are still number one on my concert bucket, so I figured they deserved a new drawing. Hopefully they’ll release some new music soon, too!
