I suppose it has been almost exactly two whole years since the release of Bad Suns’ last full length record, Apocalypse Whenever, but to me it’s felt like no time at all! One could also see the desire to make new music now that they are just a three-piece. I don’t believe there was any bad blood with Ray Libby’s departure, but I’m sure there was a desire to see what they could create in this new form.

While I don’t have hawk eyes on new music quite like I used to, I can always count on the artists I do like for putting out stuff pretty consistently. And oh yeah, KinnPorsche is the series that keeps on giving. Check out what’s new!

It’s been a hot minute since Bad Suns released an album! In all honesty, Mystic Truth was kind of a disappointment for me, so I was really nervous about how the band’s new music would sound. But, if there few singles were anything to go by, then I was in good hands. And now I can say with certainty that Apocalypse Whenever is a solid return to form for Bad Suns – yay!

Full disclosure, I wasn’t super familiar with The Aces when I asked my friend if she wanted to go see them in concert Friday night. Another weekend, another livestream concert. Actually, I’m saying this as if I’ve participated in a lot of them when in fact it’s only been my second one. While Anberlin was pretty great, I was very excited for and had high hopes for this concert put on by Bad Suns. I discovered this band back in 2014 with the release of their single, “Cardiac Arrest,” and I’ve sort of been obsessed with them ever since. Specifically their first full length effort, Language and Perspective, which is exactly what they were going to play through this Saturday!

I suppose this would be multiple concert throwbacks, because I’ve had the good fortune of being able to see Bad Suns in concert seven times! That puts them near the top of my most-frequent attendance list. It all started back in 2014 when I heard their first radio single, “Cardio Arrest,” play in my car. The rest is history!
