Escape at Dannemora Miniseries Review

Back in 2018 when this highly praised miniseries, Escape at Dannemora, came out I had watched the first two episodes because, you know, free Showtime. After that, it just sort of fell off my radar. I knew with the caliber of actors in the show that it would do well during awards season, and it did! Sometimes that’s all I need to know. Also, the show itself wasn’t that big of a mystery since it was based on real life events that took place only a few years prior.

The 24 Hour Plays

What a cool concept the 24 Hour Plays is! Weekend Movie Review

Unlike October, I have totally been slacking this month! Last week I didn’t watch a single film and this week I only got three in before my internet crapped out on me. There are also a handful of season-appropriate films I watched, so check those out!

Milwaukee Film Festival and Apple TV+’s On the Rocks

I keep scouring the web for more virtual film festivals and it’s done a great job in providing them to me! Thanks to a stranger on Twitter I found out about the Milwaukee Film Festival, which while it didn’t provide a lot of titles that caught my eye, it did crop up the gem that was I Used to Go Here. I was also equally excited to check out Apple TV+’s latest cinematic offer with Sofia Coppola’s On the Rocks. So that’s what I did last night!
