Well, well, well. Liane Moriarty made the right friend in Nicole Kidman. I say that because she’s chosen another one of Moriarty’s novels to adapt to the screen. And I don’t know how well your memory serves you, but it worked out really well with Big Little Lies. I’m a little surprised that Moriarty’s most recent novel, Nine Perfect Strangers got selected to be adapted so quickly. As an author I’d want the material to sit with readers a little longer. In any case, I was looking forward to this mystery/drama.

Mediocre Movie Weekend
This time I don’t mean that the quantity was mediocre, but the quality sure was! A lot of stinkers, and then I finally threw in a couple tried and true films to turn it around a little bit.

I know almost two weeks have already passed since the second season of Love, Victor dropped on Hulu June, 11, but I promise I watched all of it the weekend it came out! Watching all ten episodes over the course of three days was certainly not the plan, but it was just so darn good I couldn’t help myself! There’s love, betrayal, and a serious cliffhanger, so let’s get into it!

While not as ambitious as last holiday weekend, I still got a fair share of films in! Some were deserving repeats (in my opinion) while the remaining went back in time a little bit. Ever since this Hulu comedy aired, I seen nothing but praise for it, so I figured it was finally time to check PEN15 out! Straight off the bat I could understand why critics loved this show, but I imagine the casual viewer was probably extremely uncomfortable by most of this show. I personally found myself somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, although the first half of the second season really got me hooked.

You know, this is the second show in a short amount of time that really impressed me because of how well they represented a good friendship. And a male friendship at that! In the first, and hopefully not last, season of Everyone is Doing Great, we see to men in their late twenties really just learning to grow up. This show came as a recommendation that I was a little hesitant to watch but found that I really, really enjoyed it!
