Concert Review: The Killers

Funny story about this concert. Back in July of 2021 I saw that tickets were going on sale for The Killers tour in October. My friend and I jumped on these tickets, and when I went to go put it in my calendar I thought, “ha, they got the day of the week wrong.” Nope. I just can’t read and bought a concert ticket over a year in advance. So here we are now, in October of 2022, and I have finally seen The Killers again for the first time in six years.

Concert Review: Highly Suspect

It’s felt like a lifetime since I’ve seen Highly Suspect live! What a crime! Back in 2019 they released their third full-length, MCID, which was so, so good. My sister and I were supposed to catch them on tour in April of 2020, but you guessed it, the pandemic ruined that chance. Since then, the band has been hard at work on their next record, the recently released Midnight Demon Club.

Concert Review: The Black Keys

Despite living in Ohio my whole life, and only a very short drive away from The Black Keys’ hometown of Akron, I’ve never actually seen these guys live before! I had the opportunity back eight years ago at Bunbury Music Festival down in Cincinnati, but just as they were due to play there was quite a bit of thunder and lightening. I wasn’t really prepared to die for The Black Keys that night.

Concert Review: Anberlin

You know, up until the pandemic it had been quite some time since I’d seen Anberlin play music together in a live capacity. Part of that had to do with the fact that they broke up for a little while, but part of me remembers being more impressed with an opening band. To my surprise, the livestream concert I watched of them performing Cities in full was freaking incredible! When I saw that they were doing a three day “residency” at my favorite music venue, I knew I had to go hear them play Cities again live and in person.
