Fan Art Friday: Louis Tomlinson

Or as I’d also like to refer to him as: my favorite member of One Direction. Regretfully, I didn’t make it out to his show closet to my home the other day due to work commitments, and unfortunately none of the other dates on his tour work out. My friend and I should have seen him in the spring of the pandemic, but well you know, it was the pandemic. Maybe next time. But for now, enjoy this older drawing of Louis Tomlinson.

Harry Styles – Harry’s House Album Review

You know, just today I read that Baz Lurhman passed on Harry Styles to play Elvis in his upcoming biopic because “he’s already an icon.” As obsessed as I still am with One Direction, there’s really no denying this claim. Harry Styles is a bonafide sensation and everything he touches turns to gold. Good thing he doesn’t seem to be slowing down!

Fan Art Friday: One Direction

Because I can!!! They formed in 2010 and burned out by 2015, but my goodness they were world dominators. As a full fledged adult when I first heard them, One Direction we’re my musical guilty pleasure for a long time, but getting the chance to see them live and missing them dearly most days means I don’t feel guilty about liking them anymore! Enjoy one of very many drawings.

Concert Review: Louis Tomlinson Livestream

Ah, the virtual concert. That’s what we’ve been relegated to since early this year, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. At least it is some form of live and current music. Most recently to take the “stage” is former One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson, who just this year released his first solo effort. A friend and I were supposed to see him on tour over the summer, but the Coronavirus had other plans. At this moment in time, the tour is rescheduled for next year, but so far everything about next year seems up in the air. This was a nice substitute anyways.

Fan Art Friday: One Direction

Look, I know it’s been a relatively short time since I last posted a One Direction drawing, but tough squash! My love for them is deep and I have drawn them A LOT over the years, so you’re just going to have to deal with it. This time it comes with good reason, though! It’s been ten whole years since they originally formed. Sure, they burned out like a dying star after only five years together, but still. Their dominance over pop culture is something I think people will be hard-pressed to forget anytime soon. I had hoped foolishly, like most of the other Directioners out there, for a reunion announcement with this ten-year anniversary, but to no avail. Doesn’t mean I’ll ever stop hoping for it!

Concert Throwback: One Direction

Today marks the tenth year since pop boy band One Direction was formed, and even though they burned out after five years, and I was a freshman in college, I still loved them deeply and was lucky enough to catch them in concert once. My heart! A friend and I snagged tickets almost a year in advance, and then an hour before showtime I checked a resale site only to find ninth row floor seats for dirt cheap! Clearly, we snagged them up, and compared to the nosebleed seats we originally bought, it was like a dream come true. They sounded so good and had a delightfully long set. It was bliss! Even though I had a great seat, my camera phone was crap, so you’re just going to have to deal with what I’ve got. I hope that someday they all reunite and tour, because I’ll be all over that!

Album Review: Louis Tomlinson – Walls

As I mentioned in my Fan Art Friday post from yesterday, I was getting ready to draw and with that I was going to listen to Louis Tomlinson’s debut album, Walls. As a die-hard Directioner, I was excited, but also nervous to listen to this, because I truthfully haven’t given their solo efforts much attention. I love the One Direction sound so much, that I just sort of live in that musical bubble.

Fan Art Friday: Louis Tomlinson

What I once considered to be my musical guilty pleasure, I now declare with no shame in my game. That’s right, I love One Direction. Like so much. So needless to say, when a friend and I saw that our favorite member was embarking on a solo tour next year, we jumped on those tickets immediately! So here are some throwback drawings of my favorite 1D member, Louis Tomlinson. And just so we’re clear, there are so many more than just the two I’m sharing below, so you’re welcome for sparing you (this time).
