Concert Review: Highly Suspect

It’s felt like a lifetime since I’ve seen Highly Suspect live! What a crime! Back in 2019 they released their third full-length, MCID, which was so, so good. My sister and I were supposed to catch them on tour in April of 2020, but you guessed it, the pandemic ruined that chance. Since then, the band has been hard at work on their next record, the recently released Midnight Demon Club.

Highly Suspect is back! Not that they’ve been MIA for that long. Really, their third full-length album, MCID, only came out in 2019, but that pandemic has made that feel like a lifetime. Concert Review: The Black Keys

Despite living in Ohio my whole life, and only a very short drive away from The Black Keys’ hometown of Akron, I’ve never actually seen these guys live before! I had the opportunity back eight years ago at Bunbury Music Festival down in Cincinnati, but just as they were due to play there was quite a bit of thunder and lightening.
