I suppose it has been almost exactly two whole years since the release of Bad Suns’ last full length record, Apocalypse Whenever, but to me it’s felt like no time at all! One could also see the desire to make new music now that they are just a three-piece. I don’t believe there was any bad blood with Ray Libby’s departure, but I’m sure there was a desire to see what they could create in this new form.

Blink-182 – One More Time…, Album Review

Full disclosure, this may be the only Blink 182 record I have ever listened to in full. I know! What have I been doing for the other eight?! Not listening. Except for the singles that popped off on mainstream radio. Those, I heard. And they were great! But One More Time… seemed to hold some extra significance, so that’s why it made the cut.

I mean look, of all the BL actors that have graced my screen since the summer, Jeff Satur remains the most stunning. So of course I had to draw him again. I know a lot of new music is on the horizon, so I hope there is also a US tour at some point. I’d be willing to travel for sure.

Book Review: The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music by Dave Grohl

Who knew Dave Grohl could write? Books, I mean. Certainly the man can pen a song or two…just ask any of the number of successful projects he’s been a part of over the years. This is a bit different though. At almost 400 pages, this novels spans the wild years of his life, both personally and professionally. It’s a peak behind the curtain.

Concert Review: Don Broco

Although they didn’t end up taking the top spot this year, Don Broco did come in second place with three live shows (almost four, no thanks to a wedding I totally forgot about). Though I think I might have earned groupie status with them, as I saw them everywhere BUT my hometown. This final show was no exception.
