Weekend Movie Review

I feel like I’m making up for lost time here. September didn’t have me seeing nearly as many movies as I would have liked. Or perhaps, there is just so much good stuff coming out this month! A lot of them actually should have came out last year, but the pandemic had other plans. I mean, the pandemic still has other plans, but luckily for me and other film lovers, the big studios are forging ahead! Book Review: Bone Box by Faye Kellerman

Only after I’ve finished this hefty crime thriller did I find out it belongs to a series written by Faye Kellerman. In fact, Bone Box the 24th installment of the series. Fail. But, my mother was kind enough to pick it up for me, and not many parts of the book ended up being confusing, which was a relief. With that being said, let’s get into it!

Mid-Week Double Feature

Since I was otherwise engaged last weekend, that means I had no time for movies! That seriously might not have happened in at least five years. While it distressed me a little, since there were some great new releases making their way to theaters, I knew I’d get a chance to squeeze some in before another busy weekend. Book Review: Survive the Night by Riley Sager

Just when I thought his books couldn’t get any better, Riley Sager goes ahead and publishes this wonder, Survive the Night! Of his five novels, this one cemented itself as my favorite within the first chapter! It’s a thriller, takes place in the year I was born, the lead character is headed back to her hometown which is dangerously close to where I’m from, and she’s obsessed with movies!

Mosaic – Television Film Review

Is it a show or is it a movie? I mean, in the linear version of Mosaic, it’s broken down into six, 50-ish minute parts, so in my mind it’s a show. However, when each bit starts, HBO tells me I’m watching a movie. Who knows! What I do know is that when Mosaic emerged in 2018, it was very unique for the time. It originally aired on apps, where you could pick a path would alter what things you saw. The plotline itself really didn’t change, but the perspective could, which means you could discover certain things not available from other perspectives.
