Another week closer to everyone’s fall favorites, means another episode of my weekly summer dramas coming and going. Both were solid efforts this week, and sometimes I wish the weeks would go faster so I can get the next installment. I’m not really a binge-watcher by any means, but sometimes I want to watch a movie’s worth of television! Anyway, let’s get into it.

Weekly Drama Rewind
This week in the world’s of Animal Kingdom and Roswell, New Mexico, quite a lot went down! Both were action-packed in parts, and sometimes even jaw-dropping!

I don’t know why this show never stood out to me during the countless times I’ve viewed Milo Ventimiglia’s filmography, but here we are! Mob City might not be something that would usually catch my interest, but I can watch a noir about gangsters here and there. It might help that these are real gangsters and that the cast is out of this world! Anyways, let’s dive in to this short-lived series.

I know I was a little late in last week’s review of Animal Kingdom and Roswell, New Mexico, but this week I’m on it! Can’t say it will ever happen again, but you’ll just have to come back to find out. Anyways, lots of development this week, and of course…lots of drama!

A little late in the week, I know, but that doesn’t mean I still can’t catch you up to speed on what went down this week on Animal Kingdom and Roswell, New Mexico. Enough chit-chat and let’s get on with it!

It’s sort of crazy to think that Loki is the third Marvel series to wrap up this year already! Right off the bat I’m going to tell you that it still doesn’t beat out WandaVision as my favorite Marvel television offering, but it’s got Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, so it’s up there. Be warned there are some spoilers ahead!

Ugh! I feel like eons have passed since the first season of this delightful comedy aired, and now I learn this is the only other season I’ll ever get of Special?! Not cool. But, I mean…it is cool there are new episodes to be had. Brilliant in it’s own unique way, Special follows Ryan, a gay man with mild cerebral palsy and how he navigates life professionally and personally.

Is it a show or is it a movie? I mean, in the linear version of Mosaic, it’s broken down into six, 50-ish minute parts, so in my mind it’s a show. However, when each bit starts, HBO tells me I’m watching a movie. Who knows! What I do know is that when Mosaic emerged in 2018, it was very unique for the time. It originally aired on apps, where you could pick a path would alter what things you saw. The plotline itself really didn’t change, but the perspective could, which means you could discover certain things not available from other perspectives.

Ever since watching Jonathan Groff in Glee, he’s always been on my radar, but I had never really given any of his other stand-out projects a chance. Now, I don’t know that I will ever watch Hamilton or Frozen (just not a fan of musicals or kids movies), but I did want to check out his critically acclaimed show, Looking, while I still had the chance. Unfortunately, despite it’s great reviews, the viewership was low enough that it got cancelled after two seasons, although HBO was gracious enough to let them tie up their story with a movie. So I watched it all!

I know almost two weeks have already passed since the second season of Love, Victor dropped on Hulu June, 11, but I promise I watched all of it the weekend it came out! Watching all ten episodes over the course of three days was certainly not the plan, but it was just so darn good I couldn’t help myself! There’s love, betrayal, and a serious cliffhanger, so let’s get into it!
