Back at the start of the year I was really excited to learn about The Great, a new show that was coming to Hulu penned by one of the writers of The Favourite. And starring Nicholas Hoult alongside Elle Fanning! I didn’t watch it straight away and then the Emmy shows took some precedence, so I’ve only just now gotten around to watching this comedy-drama, and slightly true telling of the early days of Catherine the Great of Russia.

Workaholics Season 3
I feel like I’ve grown to love Workaholics much sooner than I did for the last long-running comedy I watched, but I suppose it’s easier to relate to these guys because they are in their 20s and in an office setting. I mean….that’s probably all I can relate to because their personal lives are a tornado and that’s just not me, but their antics make for some amazing comedy. Most of the scenes that have me laughing the hardest are completely unexpected and it elicits a surprised burst of laughter from me. Kudos to them because I feel like that’s hard to do!

If my experience with watching a long running comedy taught me anything is that as time goes on, the show typically gets better. I promise that is no exception for Workaholics. For my second season in about a week, this show has solidified it’s brand of comedy and doubled-down on the friendship aspect. For all of this, I approve.

It’s been a while since my run with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, so I decided to tackle another long-running comedy that’s been on my bucket list for quite some time. And that show is Workaholics! I’ve seen a lot of things these guys have been in separately, so it was just a matter of time before I got to watch this show. Worth the wait for sure, and that’s only after ten episodes!

Just about at the half-way mark of this season of Fargo and the crazy is picking up even more! I imagine soon we’ll have a big shootout, and at this point I can’t even imagine who the survivors would be.

After three long years and a coronavirus setback later, the fourth season of Fargo has finally arrived! And while I approached it with some trepidation seeing Chris Rock as the top billing, I still have so much faith in this season being as fantastic as the rest. They surely started off well! With the slight cliffhanger at the end of the second episode, it’s definitely left me itching for more. Without giving everything away, here’s a high level overview of what went down in the season premiere.

I keep chugging along through shows with my new Apple+ subscription, and next on my list was a show I was really excited about when I first saw an advertisement for it, Defending Jacob. Sure, it’s got everyone’s favorite Captain America, Chris Evans, and Downton Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery, but the premise just sounded so intriguing that I was going to watch it regardless of its leads.

So much happens in these hour-long episodes that I fear some day I’m going to miss something huge. I guess in order to combat that I over-explain a little bit, so sue me! Either way, this is a review of the fifth episode of The Boys, and spoilers may be below. You’ve been warned!

Alright, I have finally caved and subscribed to Apple+ in order to watch the last series I wanted to get to before the Emmys air this Sunday, The Morning Show. Look, when this show first got announced, I dug into my hipster way and refused to watch because of some of the cast. Yes, I am a big fan of Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass, but Jennifer Aniston and Resse Witherspoon are just slightly overrated in my opinion and that was enough to turn me off initially. That coupled with all the hype around the show also turned me off. Sometimes excitement about a show gets me excited about it, but sometimes it has the opposite effect on me. Go figure. Regardless of how I felt then, though, I really, really enjoyed The Morning Show and I’m glad I finally gave it a viewing!
