Schitt’s Creek Series Finales Gives Us “Happy Endings”

You read that right, the series finale of Schitt’s Creek aired on Tuesday night, and it feels like the saddest ending of an era. Even though I was a latecomer to this hilarious Canadian comedy, it took approximately five episodes for me to fall in love with these people, and I mean more than just the Roses. So sadly, this is the last time you’ll ever be reading about Schitt’s Creek here.

TV Review: Big Little Lies, Season 2

No offense, but I hope this is the last season of Big Little Lies we get. It was supposed to be a limited series, so this second one seems sort of forced, and not much really happens throughout the seven episodes. I feel that they ended it in a way where it can be done forever, and based on the lack of awards it’s won this awards season, it could be actually be done.

Mr. Robot Season 4, Episode 6 “Not Allowed”

After last week’s intense episode, I was curious as to how “Not Acceptable” would unfold.  As the title of the episode implies, there were some seriously shady dealings taking place.

We open with Vera in Krista’s kitchen, where she’s gagged and tied to a chair.  He tells her a story seemingly from his life about “a little b**** and a bully.”  The LB loves baseball more than anything and gets a metal bat for Christmas.  When he takes it outside to play with it the bully shows up, but LB has had enough and beats the bully within an inch of his life.  After that, LB realizes he has control.  And he still wants control, so Krista is his bat in order to get Elliot on his team.  Just like Tyrell, Vera thinks the two are connected, but I can’t imagine Elliot conceding too easily.

Elsewhere, Elliot picks up something from Leon at a coffee shop before heading over to Olivia’s with peppermint mochas in hand.  He breaks down at a high level everything that’s been going on with her company, and that he needs her manager to log into his account.  She is rightfully pissed that Elliot lied to her and hacked her life, but Elliot was playing the long game and drugged her drink.  That’d be bad news for Olivia’s custody if there were to be a random drug testing.  She tries to commit suicide in the bathroom, but Elliot saves her in time and eventually he gets the information he needs, but not before Olivia points the finger and calls him the real monster.

In another tense moment, Dom shows up at Darlene’s place, holding her at gunpoint.  After a crazy showdown of will she/won’t she shoot Darlene, she pistol-whips her instead.  When Darlene comes to, Dom begs her to shoot her, but that’s cut short when Janice and some other Dark Army thugs show up.  All they need is Darlene’s phone to track Elliot to bring to Whiterose, but Darlene wipes it before they can…and that’s where that story ends for the week.  Talk about a cliffhanger!

By the end of the episode, Krista has contacted Elliot to come save her, and Elliot seems to know that Vera is going to snag him on the way there.  Which he does.  So I imagine this ending is setting us up for a Vera/Whiterose showdown next week.  I’m still loving this season, so I still can’t wait!
