Book Review: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

One of Us is Lying – Series Review

Having just read Karen McManus’ book last year, this series adaptation of One of Us is Lying came as a bit of a surprise! Really, I only knew about it roughly a month beforehand and that was only because my issue of Entertainment Weekly told me about it! But anyways, I was really interested to see how this story adapted to the screen, and luckily, it didn’t disappoint.

Book Review: Midnight Sun by Trish Cook

Well, this might be a first. I was under the impression that the 2018 movie, Midnight Sun, was based off of a book given the fact that I’ve seen this book around since I saw the movie. Sometimes that happens where I don’t realize a film or show is based off of a book until after the fact. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be picking up a book that is based off of a film?! Also, please let me know if I’m wrong, but from what I can tell, the film version of this story is actually based off of a 2006 Japanese film called A Song to the Sun. Crazy!

Book Review: Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

It’s been quite some time since I’ve sat down and read a John Green novel, but my curiosity finally won out and I borrowed Turtles All the Way Down from my aunt. When I first read a blurb about this book, it sounded intriguing but not necessarily something I was interested in reading at the time. I truthfully can’t tell you what’s changed in the four-ish years to suddenly make me want to read this, but I did, and I’m glad for it.
