Coming at you a few days removed from the weekend, but still relevant, here is a brief recap of the somewhat mediocre films I watched this weekend.

Roswell, New Mexico Season Finale
It’s the end of the road for Roswell, New Mexico‘s second season. Remember how I outlined all of those pretty intense cliffhangers from last week’s episode, thinking that an hour might not be enough to tie them all up?! Turns out they could be tied up in five minutes, all before the title card showed. Good grief!
Read moreFinal Season – 13 Reasons Why
All things considered, I watched the final season of 13 Reasons Why pretty quick in the world of binge-watching! When I first heard the air date of the last batch of episodes, I thought, “man, that was a quick turnaround.” But then I remembered that I waited an awful long time to watch the third installment. At least all of the events were more fresh in my head.

You’d think after three whole seasons now that I’d be used to the crass and borderline inappropriate content that’s coming out of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but you’d be mistaken. Again, I find it hilarious, and I assume the group of people who are offended by their brand of humor stopped watching after the first season (or episode), but I still find their topics of poking fun surprising.
Read moreFan Art Friday: Hannibal
In case it’s not incredibly obvious by now, I am as obsessed with Hannibal as Hannibal is with Will Graham. So naturally, I’ve done another piece, but this time they’re both in it! Most of it is pen, but the blood and antlers are painted (acrylic and watercolor, respectively). Truthfully, I am VERY pleased with how this turned out. I forgot how fun it is to paint blood, too!
Read moreBook Review: Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance
At the insistence of one of my friends, and the promise of a film adaptation, I finally decided to give J.D. Vance’s memoir, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, a chance. It was quite a thought-provoking and somewhat somber read. While he grew up in Ohio like me, there was a lot that I couldn’t relate to personally, but there were many things he described that I’ve at least witnessed in my lifetime.

Another crazy busy episode of Roswell, New Mexico this week! In fact, so many things happened and there are so many cliffhangers, that I am sort of shocked that they are going to be able to wrap everything up in the season finale next week. But I’m assuming it does all get wrapped up considering they were already done filming season two before they got picked up for a third.

I am fully aware that the number of movies I watched this weekend is in fact still above average compared to almost everyone I know. But two movies is almost pathetic! At least by my standards, and especially since I watched 25 movies last month. Oh well, it’s a slow start but I don’t doubt I’ll have a strong finish (even if it is getting nicer out). Now, there were onlt two movies, but they were fairly strong choices!
Read moreFuller House Series Finale
I’ll be honest, I waited a few days to review the finale nine episodes of Fuller House because I watched them embarrassingly quick. Unlike others, I am not a fan of binge-watching, but in a little over a day I burned through these episodes like they were my life-blood. I laughed and teared up, and it was totally what I was expecting to experience with this last batch of new episodes and nostalgia.

Don’t get too excited, you’ll probably never see another Star Wars related piece of artwork pop up on here ever again. This is being gifted to a friend who loves Star Wars. I do not. Regardless! It was nice to paint again for the first time in years!
