Concert Review: Motion City Soundtrack

You know, I’ve seen Motion City Soundtrack a number of times over the years, so when I saw a Commit This to Memory 15th anniversary tour, I was actually going to skip out. Firstly, it was scheduled in 2020, then got moved to the middle of winter in Ohio, but then the stars aligned and it got moved again and I saw them at Riot Fest. They were one of the best sets I saw that weekend and it made me remember how freaking awesome they are. So yeah, when I saw the show was approaching, I snatched up tickets.

Book Review: Breakfast with Scot by Michael Downing

On a whim a couple of weeks ago, I rented a 2005 comedy-drama, Breakfast with Scot, and was immediately taken with it. The film was warm, charming, comical, and oddly topical for 2005. After watching the film, naturally I looked it up online and found that it was based off a book by the same name written by Michael Downing. After that, it took me all of ten seconds before I had a request out for it at my local library.

You know, just today I read that Baz Lurhman passed on Harry Styles to play Elvis in his upcoming biopic because “he’s already an icon.” As obsessed as I still am with One Direction, there’s really no denying this claim. Harry Styles is a bonafide sensation and everything he touches turns to gold. Good thing he doesn’t seem to be slowing down!

Wallows Concert Review

You know, back when I bought my ticket to see Wallows, I think I did so reluctantly. Their first album was kind of a flop in my eyes, but they’ve had a bunch of really catchy songs and EPs since then. When they recently released their sophomore effort, Tell Me That It’s Over, I was finally convinced that I made the right choice. And having come back from the concert, I can confirm that I did!
