In celebration of the sixth anniversary of Language and Perspective from Bad Suns, here’s a throwback drawing (one of many) that I gifted them at one of their shows. It even made it onto their old website!

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Season 4
The cadence and strangeness of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has finally set in fully after four seasons, and I find it absolutely hysterical and incredibly addicting. I’ve managed to watch about one season a week, and it feels like I will be burning through to season 14 in no time flat.

Now, I really only started listening to Run the Jewels in earnest when their last record, Run the Jewels 3 was released, so I am new to this fan base. However, that new influx of tunes had me revisiting their older records, along with that Meow the Jewels remix album (fantastic for all cat-lovers to experience). RTJ4 came as a surprise release in a time of chaos and and just general upheaval. It was a nice welcome, but still keeps you rooted in the moment.

I did indeed watch an Oscar-winning picture this weekend, but it seems like to offset that brilliance I had to also watch something incredibly stupid. Which I also did. There was also a Coen Brothers film in the middle there, so really it’s a net positive on the weekend as a whole.

Ever since watching Red Eye back in 2005, I’ve considered myself a Cillian Murphy fan. Sure, he’s been in tent-pole blockbusters like Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy, but I’m more fond of his indie film ventures, like Free Fire and Anthropoid. Seriously, if you’ve never seen these films, then you must!

Coming at you a few days removed from the weekend, but still relevant, here is a brief recap of the somewhat mediocre films I watched this weekend.

It’s the end of the road for Roswell, New Mexico‘s second season. Remember how I outlined all of those pretty intense cliffhangers from last week’s episode, thinking that an hour might not be enough to tie them all up?! Turns out they could be tied up in five minutes, all before the title card showed. Good grief!
Read moreFinal Season – 13 Reasons Why
All things considered, I watched the final season of 13 Reasons Why pretty quick in the world of binge-watching! When I first heard the air date of the last batch of episodes, I thought, “man, that was a quick turnaround.” But then I remembered that I waited an awful long time to watch the third installment. At least all of the events were more fresh in my head.
