Concert Review: Band of Brothers Tour with Magic Giant and American Authors

The concerts keep rolling in, and this time, I got my favorite concert buddy and her husband to go with me! They’ve been out of the concert loop for a little bit, so I’ve vowed to get them back in the swing of things. To start it off, we went and saw the Band of Brothers Tour which featured co-headliners, Magic Giant and American Authors!

I knew a few songs from each band, so I wasn’t expecting this to be a knockout evening of live music, but they proved me wrong in spades! Magic Giant came out first and never took their foot off the gas. All of their songs were big and loud and energetic. Also, none of them ever stopped moving! There were some quality dance moves and lots of involvement with the crowd. There wasn’t one song out of the batch I didn’t enjoy.

Next up was American Authors, who kept the energy up, although far less crazy movements from this gang. American Authors definitely has more world-wide recognition and it showed with how intense the crowd was for them. The band was loving it and showed the audience just as much love in return. I’m a big fan of their song “Believer,” so that was certainly a highlight.

After their two short, individual sets, they all gathered together, where there were guitars, banjos, keys, a violin, and a ton of drums! They played one song together before Magic Giant took the stage again to perform an acoustic song. Then American Authors did the same. This bled into another short set from each band.

The finale saw Magic Giant and American Authors on stage together again, playing two epic song (including a very unique take on Four Non Blondes’ “What’s Going On?”). The stage was packed, the music was loud and anthemic, and it was such a fun experience! I really hope they were having as much fun together onstage as it looked. With only four dates left on the tour, there’s probably no chance you’ll catch them, but it was a great time and I’m really glad I was able to go.
