Gotham Review

It’s so hard to believe there are only two episodes left! And that they’re making us wait four weeks to watch them! Sigh. Oh well, here’s what happened on this week’s insane episode of Gotham.

We start with see Eduardo in the lab with Walker and the always ominous Dr. Hugo Strange. They are about to put him through his painful Bane transformation. Uh oh.

Barbara is about to have this baby, which means that Penguin and Riddler are trying to get this sub working before she can tag along. In true criminal fashion though, Babs steals one of the parts before heading off to the hospital.

Jim and the gang over at the GCPD pass the military’s inspection and are granted reunification only to be over taken by the newly minted Bane and some League of Shadows members. They kidnap Bruce, Jim, and the captain. Once everyone wakes, Walker is there having Bane torture Jim while Bruce watches on. We learn it’s because Bruce killed her father, Ra’s al Guhl, which means Walker is actually his daughter, Nyssa. She wants Bruce to suffer and die along with the rest of Gotham. She sends Jim off to be modified for her army, and notes that Bruce didn’t do the deed alone, so she sends Bane off to find Barbara.

Of course all of this is about to go down and Barbara goes into labor. Oswald and Nygma show up to get their part back, only to volunteer themselves into helping holding off Bane from getting to Lee and Barbara as they attempt to escape. They barely get out of the hospital before her baby GIRL (future Batwoman???) is born and Bane jumps out to meet them. He’s subdued by Alfred and Selina briefly before Bane appears to kill Alfred – NO!

Jim and Bruce manage to escape, but the captain didn’t get out without a controlling chip implanted in his brain, so when they go back to get a handle of the army, the captain orders the bombing of Gotham. This essentially brings us back to the point where the season began, so I’m very much looking forward for what’s to come. See you in four weeks.
