I’ve been slacking on the fan art posts! And yes, I know today is Saturday, but I’m trying to make up for it! So here we go. Taking Back Sunday did back-to-back shows near me this week, and while I did not attend, I have seen them countless times before. They always rock so hard! So here is a drawing of the only member who has always been a part of the band, Adam Lazzara. I’d be remiss to say I never had a crush on the man – just look at him!

Note: just because a film has three A-listers, does not mean it’s going to be good. Such is the case with the latest Netflix film, The Laundromat, which stars powerhouses, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, and Meryl Streep. I’m not saying the performances were bad. Odd, but not bad. The script was the bad part.

Mr. Robot continues to deliver all the punches three episodes in. “Forbidden” opens with the tale of how Whiterose came to be. In the early 80s, he is seen mocking IBM consultants in his native Mandarin to his colleague Peng Chen. In the hotel room, it is revealed that Zhang and Chen are lovers. He hopes that Zhang becomes the Ambassador to the US so they can start living as their true selves: two men in love. This prompts Zhang to present her true self to him, dressed in a wig and her mother’s dress, to which Chen’s response is “you’re beautiful.”

Foals did what The 1975 claimed they were going to do, put out two records in one year. Where The 1975 failed, Foals succeeded! And Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 was by no means an afterthought, or a group of leftover songs. This record tells it’s own story while still keeping with a similar tone to Part 1.

Nostalgia came back for the weekend with Zombieland: Double Tap. It’s like ten years never even passed (except for maybe Abigail Breslin) on this quest to survive hoards of zombies.

Well, five episodes in, and I am unable to see where American Horror Story: 1984 can go now. Seriously, this last episode basically has an end for all our main characters. That doesn’t mean I haven’t enjoyed it! In fact, its campiness and gore is everything I like about the horror genre. So with that, here’s the lowdown on what’s happened at Camp Redwood.

As I said last week, SPOLIERS AHEAD, so don’t keep reading if it’s going to ruin it for you. Instead I’ll start you off with this fun fact that I just discovered. While the titles of all of season 4’s episodes are not in the usual tech-garb with dots and dashes, they are in representative of error codes, hence, “Payment Required.” Nifty!

Once again, I’m trying to make up for the abysmal job I did last month, so I high-tailed it to the theater twice this weekend! First up was the long awaited (for me) Ad Astra. I know there was a lot of hype around this movie, but it being about space, I was a little skeptical.

It’s time to give some love to one of my favorite bands of all time: Sullivan. I would consider them fairly unknown and that is a damn shame because all three records they’ve released over an hiatus and 15 years is absolutely fantastic! Here’s some throwback mixed media artwork I did back in high school for these guys.
